Hawk Spirit by tosee

Hawk Spirit

I started out today to do a marco study of the pussywillows. I put an extension tube on my 90mm macro lens and took a small tripod. And i did with good results, but on the way it was very windy with a misty rain. The bark on the river birch, in the park, was flapping but staying in place. It reminded me of the hawk we saw yesterday which would fly directly into the wind, flapping it's wings but staying stationary! Then suddenly it dove deep into the lake emerging with a fish. This was a gift, one i had never received before, and this is recognizing that rare moment and gift!
beautiful...
and yes...it was a gift for you :)
