James R Barker

The James R Barker of the Interlake Steamship Co. coming into the Safe Harbor of Duluth, Minnesota. A Cold, snowy, windy day on Lake Superior from my archive of 10/29/2013.
Now that is one big, hefty ship. Nice one Tom.

:-) Not sure if I would recognize you from your photo, but it would be fun to meet up. This is a wonderful capture of the ship in the canal. Well done Tom. Now, that I know you are from the area, I look forward to see what you post up. Hopefully, you haunt places that I haven't shot and give me some new places to visit. Have you ever shot the ice caves? It's something that I'm kicking around doing this winter.

@jayberg Thanks J ; a little luck, Pam's wanting to go to Canal Park that day, and the ship all coming together.

@tosee this ship is 1000 feet long but the Welland canal can only handle lengths of 740 feet..so the James R Barker sails only in in the upper lakes
