American Bison by tosee

American Bison

Once a common sight on the American Plains
the American Bison or Buffalo was nearly hunted to
extinction. Minneopa State Park has introduced a small herd
of Bison free from genetic material from cattle. They have a Bison Drive
where one can get up close to the Bison, one has to stay in their car, grazing on the prairie grasses.
Today these Buffalo were being fed in a fenced off enclosure , so this shot was taken from the opened sun roof, with me standing on the car seat pointing the camera towards the enclosure. The enclosure is being used to help the Bison adjust to their new home
These animals are bigger than life, quite a sight Tom!
