Horses

On Sunday Pam and I went to a friends house to celebrate several birthdays. Pulling into the driveway I noticed two beautiful horses in a pasture across the road. We went in, had a few snacks and some wine, when I decided I had to try and get a photo of the horses. Grabbed my camera and went down the long driveway, across
the road, over a wet and muddy ditch and up to the fence. As soon as I arrived at the fence, the watchdog started to sound the alarm and the horses started towards me. The horses came right up to me, wanted to be touched, but oh the racket being made by the watchdog was not welcome,
(afraid would disturb the owner and I would not be
welcome) so a quick snap, a wonderful touch and
I was headed back to the celebration and the wine.
Wonderful capture.

Yes, I can understand you didn't want to hang around too long with a dog barking like that! Nice speedy capture though!

It always lovely to have horses that are friendly and want to be fussed but I can understand your hesitation in hanging about - lovely capture

Nice shot Tom, would have been very enjoyable if not for that watchdog! Horses are amazing!

The horses look very friendly, Tom. Beautiful shot; works well in b&w. I don't like dogs snarling at me even if they are securely tied.
