Viewed from downstream one can clearly see the
mystery of Minnesota's disappearing river (half anyway) located at Judge C.R. Magney State Park.
The left side flows into a deep kettle and simply disappears. Scientists think the river must drain somewhere beneath Lake Superior, but nobody knows for sure. They have dumped dye, Pingpong balls, logs etc. but have never found them downriver or in the lake. A mystery!
