This was taken about 5 pm last night. I couldn't believe the colours in the sky and how blue the snow was when I looked out from the warmth of my home. My kids thought I was crazy when I went outside because what you don't see are the howling winds and snow squalls that were closing down highways at the time. I think it was the -30c temperature that created these beautiful colours in the sky and the glow around the sun.
@hermann yes that is one of many, many, many turbines that arrived in our area 5 years ago. Another huge project is underway in the neighbouring township as well. We do not have any on our property fortunately, but they are close enough that the noise becomes bothersome when they are really going.
