I went down river one afternoon and tried to take some waterfall shots. This was my first attempt at anything like this. I did have my tripod but really struggled to get it right. It was overcast which helped with the reflection off the water but I still had to adjust my exposure compensation down quite a bit. I slowed my shutter to get the water smooth but even with a tripod I don't like the focus.
It's a lovely composition; I love the textures of the rocks. I bought a neutral density filter to help when I wanted to take pictures of silky water at times when the light was too bright, but haven't yet spent enough time figuring our how best to use it. But this scene is beautiful, and a fav for me.
