Utrecht - Dutch Railway Museum

A train a day keeps the doctor away!

Normally I only take pictures of trains that are in operation. But for this almost working replica of the first steam locomotive ever build in 1807 I make an exception (the replica is from 2008 so build almost exactly 200 years later). The train is part of the exhibition for the jubilee of 175 years railways in the Netherlands.

@zosimasy One small correction this locomotive " Catch Me Who Can" (I really like that name). Is the fourth and last locomotive build by Richard Trevithick. But this is the most famous locomotive that drove on a circle track in London as an attraction. And he build the first steam trains in the world. @gigiflower Yes, things did change in 200 years. :-) @hermann Your welcome.
