@gigiflower Sam that is the steam dome http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_dome normally they were from metal and painted black or in the same colour as the rest of the locomotive. However having a copper steam dome was one of the requirements by the Dutch railway company that order this otherwise standard (German) locomotive. And it's a good example that the Dutch often want things a little bit different ;-) @hermann Thank you, Sally :-)
