Just out of the oven - Strawberry, Apple and Rhubarb Galette...so simple to make and very delicious. A shortcrust pastry is rolled flat. Fruit is chopped and mixed with sugar, custard powder,some lemon zest and vanilla then piled high in the middle of the pastry which is folded up to make a crust. The crust is brushed with egg yolk and some crushed nuts scattered over it. Pop in the oven for about an hour ...and hey presto...a scrumptious dessert!
