that looked spectacular against a blue November sky but shows how easily disasters can occur. The next day a wind came up and embers were blown onto a dry lawn and the fire restarted, burning to within metres of houses. Fortunately some one saw it in time and it was able to be put out again before any damage was done but not so in WA.
In Western Australia a controlled burn has become a catastrophy and over twenty homes have been destroyed. The scenes on TV news tonight are horrific. My thoughts and prayers go out to those caught in this disaster.
