Have I Bitten Off More Than I Can Chew?

In fact, no. This little garden spider will sit all day and slowly suck the body juices from this bug. This reminds me of a story a friend tells about herself. As she washed up after breakfast she spotted a beautiful butterfly sitting gently fluttering its wings in a tree outside her window. To her surprise it was still there at morning tea. She admired it at lunchtime. It had stopped fluttering its wings, but she showed her children when they came home from school. They climbed the tree to get a closer look and found a spider attached to the dead butterfly. To her dismay and horror my friend had been the innocent observer of a slow garden death.
Awesome capture

Wow, that's an awesome shot and I had a great time reading your story too. Bit of a horror story (but I love horror stories! 8D) but that's the cycle of life. Cool capture!

Nature is amazing and sometimes it seems very cruel. This is a great action picture of what takes place in a spider's world. We love butterflies and abhor spiders but they have to do what comes naturally for them. Nice capture. It is very sharp closeup.
