We have three small one teacher schools in the Valley. All our students need to move on to attend secondary school - most going to boarding school. To mark this change every year as the school year draws to an end, the local QCWA (Queensland Country Women's Association) branch wishes the graduating year 7 students well and sends them on to the next stage of their life journey with a pen - a symbol of our pride in them and our pledge of ongoing support even when they move beyond the safety of our local community.
