A wander through the garden the morning after rain revealed my first Carambola fruit are setting. I've been nurturing the little tree for a couple of years and this is its first fruit. Star fruit, as I call them, are native to South East Asia and produce a lovely tangy fruit that slices into perfect little star when cut making it a pretty decoration for desserts and sweets. When this fruit turns yellow it will be ripe for picking and enjoying. Can't wait.
