How wonderful you all are. Thank you for your care, concern and words of support to help me over the hill on Thursday. Its taken a couple of days but things are looking brighter today. And I have a new car! On our way to Brisbane to pick it up I began to realize how lucky we are. Boy, are there some dry properties between here and there. Both pictures are taken just outside Gympie. The one on the left is a cow paddock just 10 minutes up the road from the one on the right, an irrigated block on the Mary River. As our wet season draws to a close this is how all of our coastal country should look but unfortunately there is just mile upon mile of land like that on the left. The only thing that can fix the situation is rain.
@swilde Yes that would be worth celebrating. Glad to know someone has been getting some.Heard an interview on ABC radio today which had to stop because the person being interviewed could not hear with the rain that was pounding down on his roof in Cairns!!!
