Feeding home

After a long day in the yards the cattle are led down the track back home - a three km walk. This man has an excellent team of working dogs. He seldom takes his horse out of a walk as his dogs keep the herd contained. I watched in awe as they followed the fence line and guarded every gateway along the road ensuring the cattle stayed on the track and didn't stray into paddocks where they didn't belong. The red animal is watching one of the dogs through the fence.
