Today our bowls club raised $3700 at our Charity Fun Day in aid of Guide Dogs Queensland. Funds go to help with training new puppies to become guide dogs. We have a blind bowler in our club so it is a charity dear to our hearts.
I don't know this game, but I love the depth of the picture and the isolation of the player in the foreground. How good of you to support the guide dogs as well. Lovely.
@ladymagpie@swilde Our blind player is amazing. He has no bell Sue just a brilliant feel for the game. A fellow team member simply has to call to him the measurements and position of his bowl in relation to the Jack and he adjusts his next bowl accordingly with unbelievable accuracy. Today for example on one end I saw, he had all four of his bowls surrounding Jack with no more than 20cm space between any of them.
@mbemis Thank you Mannie and welcome to my project. The general aim of the game is to work as a team, 2-4 players, and try to get your bowls closets to the little yellow ball called the Jack or Kitty. Sounds easy but believe me it is extremely challenging and addictive!
