A tiny black ant takes a stroll past a paper wasp nest 9m above the ground and I can photograph it. I am aghast. And I can see the wasps at work extending their magnificent paper apartment block. Amazing.
Great view of nature at work, Margaret. Thanks to the ants for teaching us the value of preparation and to the wasps for teaching us the art of papermaking.
Wow you are brave. David has been stung twice by paper wasps and he says it is very painful. My sister in law ended up in hospital on an IV drip due to a really bad reaction to a paper wasp sting too.
