I got up early and put in a couple of hours in the garden. Lucky I did. A shower chased me inside for breakfast but it forgot to stop. We enjoyed lovely gentle rain until about 4:00pm. You can almost hear the grass growing...and the weeds too I might add.
it has poured with rain here - the wind making it horizontal for a while this morning but fortunately the sun shone and the sky turned blue when I left work
@happypat yes Pat, Maggiemae was right. It is a little garden fungi that grows in potting mix or compost I found with the help of Mr Google. There was a whole group of baby ones around it but the turkeys came in a ate the lot. The little folded cap was supposed to open into a little pointed umbrella but I never got to see it.
@mbemis Extremes! oh yes. Seems just yesterday I was complaining of drought now it doesn't seem to want to stop raining. But I should simply enjoy it because the weather bureau is still forecasting a long dry autumn and are predicting that we'll be back into drought again midyear. Yes extremes as you say.
