Odd One Out

A beautiful little double barred finch feeding with the plum heads. The finches are travelling in a flock of 100 or more this year - testimony to the great season we have had. They are a joy to behold bringing the garden alive with their chattering. Green panic, the grass they are feeding on, is a real nuisance in a garden but I love my birds as much as my fresh veges so I'll never be free of it because I can't help myself. I have to let it come to seed each autumn just to enjoy these delightful little visitors.
