The 201Q4 regional convention of Lions International got off to a wet start on Friday night. With lightning and thunder and associated rain 220 guests took their seats and after the customary speeches two local girls decked out in western gear, did a superb job in very testing conditions, to carry the flags through into the huge marque. Here the American Flag, the flag of the founding father of Lions, Melvin Jones is presented. Not a great image but no flash lights were allowed because of the horses who behaved very well in the circumstances. Oct15words - Costume
