Only grandad would think of this. The great grandchildren are out to stay now school holidays are here. Their father bought them a mini quad bike. What a responsibility! They are such a dangerous piece of equipment. Of the 20 children killed in farm accidents across Australia each year, the quad bike is the second most likely cause of death. We've kept them off it for a couple of years and they've only ridden when Mum and Dad are here but grandad softened today and came up with a bright idea of his own - follow me while I mow. Well you can see how long that lasted. Back to the drawing board.
I do agree about the danger with young children who have no experience with balance, speed and brakes etc! Hope they are watched all the time and the keys are hidden!
Well you tried! Quad bikes are dangerous I know but just heaven to young would be farmers. Where do you draw the line ....a crash helmet would be a must for me though....might be a thought Margaret!
