Do you know the term? It means a narrow escape. This is a baby swamp pheasant or coucal blown out of its nest in last night's storm. Yes, it's rained at last...58ml... Whoop, whoop and more forecast today, a close shave in its self. Things were getting pretty desperate. But I digress. The little bird had a close shave when I mistook him for a cane toad sitting in the middle of the road and nearly ran over him. Fortunately he made a hurried fluttering escape and found his way up onto a fence. I hope the parent birds find him or it might be a short lived escape.
Rain, the elixir of life! So relieved that you have had a really good drenching, the land will look so different in a few days! Hope your pheasant survives,
