Signs of September

The first day of Spring. News reports are saying it has been Queensland's driest winter on record - not that I need to be told. It's reported that In Mackay just 22 mm of rain fell when their winter average is 120mm and the average winter daytime temp for the state was 26 degrees. You can hardly call that winter. It is impossible to keep the water up to the garden. I only have a few pots that I care for to offer a little bit of a friendly welcome to the place and to brighten my day.
A stunning welcome Margaret, unfortunately we are in a similar boat with even less rain. The driest winter since they started recording. On water restrictions since the beginning of the year. We're all praying for rain.

A lovely way to welcome September! Apparently all the rain is falling in Texas this year.

Beautiful digitalis or Foxglive as we call them. Once a weed they seem to be a proper garden flower these days, love the height they give in the garden.
