Love these birds. So very quiet and gentle. Have you ever seen one whack another bird over the head when they are trying not to get chased off their feed Margaret? Seems to be their only means of defence.
@ubobohobo I've seen them whack a rainbow lorikeet that was trying to muscle in on their feed on a couple of occasions. They are lightning quick and there is no forewarning and no indication afterwards that anything has happened. If you are not looking at the precise moment, you'll miss it. The noise from the whack is quite audible
