This peaceful scene does not reflect my day. Although I was able to enjoy the peace of the river, Kel and I spent the day beside it spraying the invasive parthenium weed with herbicide. When the river floods it carries the seeds from farms upstream and spreads them across the flats where they have germinated in massive numbers. Not hard work but very hot working outside on an Australian summer's day even if you are beside the river.
There are getting to be so many invasive species the world over! Good for you to be doing your part to in the fight against them!
We also have many invasive species - but too many people complain about spraying that not much gets done about them.
