Kurrajong Bag Moth by ubobohobo

Kurrajong Bag Moth

What a destructive little moth. I had a horticulturist staying at the Discovery Centre and spoke to him of my unwelcome visitor. He came down today and identified it as Kurrajong bag moth and something he's never seen before. He guided me to a website, iNaturalist.org.au and this is the most northerly sighting recorded in Australia to date. So that is exciting but the sight of my poor little brachychiton all bound up and practically destroyed is annoying.
This is so cool but - so annoying;
weird that they are moving north -
A very informative collage.
