I am feeling over the moon. My 52 year old son suffered a massive stroke in February and has been diagnosed as requiring 24/7 care for the rest of his life. His magnificent rehab support team never stopped believing in him and taught him to walk again over a 5 month period. Today he walked up these steps unaided to spend the morning with his brother. Amazing. My fondest wish come true!
Oh wow Margaret what a fantastic miracle! The perseverance of everyone including g your brave son is truly awe inspiring. I can only imagine how hard the last five months have been. Here’s praying your lovely son defies all gloom & doom & gets back to as much of his old self as possible. Fave for the bravery here,
@maggiemae I think it has been the hardest in my life. It looked so desperate for the first few weeks but then little by little grit and determination kicked in. Thanks for your kind words.
@dide It was his determination that has pulled him through. I saw him many an afternoon, sweat running down his face, from the shear effort of trying to redirect messages to that "dead" right leg. And the staff, just amazing.
@happypat Once I found we'd been granted life I prayed for a miracle to give this life some quality. It has been a long, stressful few months. We have all worked so hard to reach yesterday's milestone. The wonders of modern medicine. Thank you for your kind words and the Fav.
