stillness

We are no Nemo in the Midwest, but we did have our first sizable snow fall this week. It was one of those heavy snows that coats everything and stays. After dropping my daughter off to her Dinosaur Safari camp, I drove around looking for a "slow down" capture . I saw this and pulled off the road for this one. I love willows in the summer, but how absolutely, gorgeously peaceful is this winter shot? I only hope I did it some justice from my bifocal view.
Beautiful capture and perfect title. My neighbor across the road lost a huge willow this last year....I miss it's gracefulness.

Indeed, slow down! Well depicted. I need this as my screen saver. I like how you can see the willow's shape, even without the leaves.

@happysnap @trixiehiscock @jyokota thanks for your comments. It was one of those times I was glad to stop the car to try to capture the feeling.
