What do you mean by iPad technologies -- photographing with the ipad or using some app on it? Are you going to use only an ipad to process in Japan or are you taking a computer???

@jyokota sometimes both. I got an iPad mini and lightening card reader to upload from my dslr. I plan on using it solely for the Japan trip. Apps give all the processing capabilities I need. I want to go light.

@vankrey - no ipad mini for me yet. and i have been using my regular ipad for internet since I can buy a local SIM card. So I'm carrying my computer, my ipad, my US phone, my German phone, AND my camera.
