off the handle

It's been far too long since I've done an abstract, not to mention an ETSOOI abstract...so this one originated from a intentionally piled up bunch of 70s kitchen cabinetry handles that my wife and I have disliked since we bought the house - 10 years ago! The bright bits are sunlight reflecting off the gaudy fake metallic gold covering. It was intentionally shot out of focus to make the glowing bits into a more prominent bokeh-ish effect and then I played...and voila.
Well done! Interesting to me to see a plaid like pattern when I view the original. Cool shot!

I love it when you do your abstracts . . . as always, this one is fun and creative.

WAit -- I just looked at the original (you should put a link in this narrative, to go back to it) and I don't get it -- this is what you made out of the other ??? (How's that for an abstract comment . . .)

@taffy @jyokota As a disclaimer the "other" shot was just to show you my subject matter, but as I wrote, this one is intentionally out of focus to give the bokeh-like light bursts that appear more prominently in this version. I use Picasa for all my non-iPad editing and I used a pixelate function that I had never tried before...
