So day 2 in the light with my new macro and it's true love. Such clarity and so close! This is SOOC with a crop. I'm not sure if this is a yellow jacket or not, but it was buzzing around the dill flowers in my mother's vegetable garden. I was particularly fascinated to realize, with the super close up, that the antennae are "hinged" (I have other shots where they are pointing straight out) and the particularly creepy serrated legs...In case you are wondering, I went with the Tokina lens over the Nikkor. So far so good.
