The beautiful-smelling autumn-blooming cimicifuga racemosa in our backyard just opened its first bloom and I happened to catch it. I've tried to photograph this flower so many times in the past, but never liked how it came out. They are an odd, pipe cleaner-shaped flower stalk and with it all in bloom, it's hard to know where to focus. I think this was a nice balance.
