freeze

Working with my tripod on catching macro frost. Our three season room get frost all over the windows when it dips below 20 degrees or so, and we had quite the display today! I love the stillness of the frost and how in this lighting, I managed to catch darkened "fronds" with the light. I only heightened the contrast and vignetted the image - the rest is as it was - stunning. On top of it snowing for 36+ hours, we're likely to see a foot of snow by tomorrow afternoon! I bet you can guess some of my photography for tomorrow ;)

Best viewed large, if you so desire.

Catch my other 2 frost photos from today - all with a different feel from the contrasts.

I tried doing this today and nothing worked. I'm impressed with the details you've gotten.

@luvmynynix Thanks Laurie - I often can't resist posting one in each of my albums for a day when I'm indecisive. Thanks for your "vote."
