I think the birds have needed some extra help with the food since most is buried under the 16 inches we just got before the new 4-8 inches coming in the next 24 hours. Here our regular juncos at our feeder were getting a bit competitive with the feed. I love the seemingly unnatural position of the lower bird and the aggressive "stance" of the upper bird. The depth of the snow on the feeder and on the birdbath in the backdrop provided the context.
