speckled trillium

I believe from my brief web search, this is trillium recurvatum. I noticed one randomly one spring, having not planted it, but now there seems to be a good half dozen, including one in my backyard. They don't seem to be very common in Wisconsin and Michigan, so I'm quite pleased they decided to make my northern Illinois yard their home. When in blossom, the petals are an interesting, deep maroon. Here I wanted to show off their mottled leaf pattern pre-bloom.
Very cool

I love trillium as to me, they mean spring. They are always associated for me with going up to Beaver Island for the summer as we try to get there in time to see them bloom. I like the way you've created an emphasis on the pattern here.
