Omoideyoko-cho girl by vankrey

Omoideyoko-cho girl

There was something timeless about this shot from a area near Shinjuku station in Tokyo translated in English roughly as "Memory Alley." It's two narrow street packed with tiny restaurants, stalls, really that largely serve "yakitori" or skewered chicken ("chicken" is written on the lantern). There is a lot of red on the streets, but I chose black and white to accentuate the timeless beauty of this vendor.
I'm imagining the sounds and smells of the street are wonderful. It does have a timeless quality.
