This butterfly, found in the iris garden in the Meiji Shrine in Tokyo, was being incredible photogenic. With some patience, I managed this shot, which ended up being my favorite from the day. I loved how the blur at the top of the wings gives the sense of fluttering, but the bottom half is nice and clear.
What makes this one effective is the stark clarity of the flower and the front legs of the butterfly, showing that this is no camera blur, but that you caught the wings in motion. Fav.
