I'm a knitter, and I frequently give gifts to friends of my handiwork because I love the idea of something that I spent hours upon hours of work on ultimately being wrapped around people whom I love. It's like a big hug and bring me joy knowing it has a life outside of my hands. Here is an abstract teaser photograph for a certain friend who will receive it very soon. The design was inspired from the wings of butterflies.

@aecasey And then I got to see the actual product this week. Michael is an absolutely amazing artist! Junko (now I can say it) was so pleased with the gift. And I got to meet Michael for the first time!
Oh, and this certain friend is SO very lucky to have an entire collection of MVK originals :) This design is particularly spectacular so we should do a photoshoot of the unfurled wing.
