My daughter loves sugar, pretty much in any form. So when I decided to be "artsy" and work with candy as my subject matter, she was beside herself with conflict, "what is he doing?," "I really want to eat some/all of that," and of most concern was her worrying that I would throw away all the candy like it was some art project that you couldn't eat. With those puppy dog eyes, she got away with a stick of licorice and a pink gummy star once I finished. The sugar balance was restored.
