Coral by vernabeth

Coral

This is a piece of coral I dug out of the ground in woods around my house. This is East Tennessee. It's been a long time since there was ocean in this part of the world. The size is 6in. X 7in. and about 4in. thick. It is very heavy.

Richly photographed. Also, rich history. I wonder how you found and identified it, not expecting CORAL.
