This rose bush is at least forty years old. It belonged to my mother-in-law who died in the eighties. We've moved it many times over the years but until this year, it never bloomed. The color surprised us as we thought it was a yellow rose. Ironically, it is the color of the gown she was buried in and it bloomed just in time for Mother's Day. The sweet smell is heavenly.
