There was a crooked man,
and walked a crooked mile,
He found a crooked sixpence against a crooked stile;
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house.
@jsw0109 actually, I thought about how YOU would go about shooting this when I found it...trouble is, I could not get much closer or a better angle. Next I want to try some editing to change the tones and color...another day. THANKS!
@vickisfotos you shot from the angle I would have shot from. I probably also would have done one straight on and framed just the window and door there on the right in the viewfinder because I have a thing for doors and windows too and they look cool. Actually, the more I look at the shot, the more I see.... would be a great subject for a series of shots.
@jsw0109 Oh, I wish I could have gotten up closer! as it was, I was on private property and not sure how far to go...probably would have been just fine, but didn't test it. I only took a couple from this spot, the grass was tall and so would have taken a lot of effort to get any closer anyway. Thanks so much! I keep an eye on your work and learn a lot from it!
@vickisfotos you have to be very careful about venturing into tall grass, especially around dilapidated buildings.... snakes love that environment. so its probably a good thing you didn't get too close.
@jsw0109 EXACTLY! in most areas that I shoot in Oregon, snakes are not a problem, but we were on the road in California and I was not at all sure WHAT I might find in that tall grass! oh well, there are other shacks to be found...I never see a barn without thinking of you and 365!
I agree with Jeff--would love to see a series.
