The third falls along the hike that fateful day was Oneonta Falls. We never were able to see the Upper Oneonta Falls, somehow I missed the secret trail that was supposed to be 'right to the side of the bridge,' according to the map I had. I already posted the 4th falls we saw on Sept. 13, if you missed it, here is the link http://media.365project.org/1/4485829_lopsvy0167_m.jpg
If I had not fallen and broken the ankle, the plan was that we were going to hike back down and then get to Lower Oneonta Falls, which is only accessible by hiking upstream to see it. Well, that will just be something to look forward to next spring when the ankle is all healed, right?
Another lovely falls!!! Love that rock formation on the left. Great colors. I bet is overflowing right now!! So many falls in one day!! How far did you hike to see them all? Hope you are healing? healed?
@eyesmile round trip was only 4 miles or so...it has kind of faded from my memory exactly how long...except I KNOW that the part I did back down with the broken ankle was 1.8 miles....we came down a shorter way than we went in for obvious reasons
