Not as icy as I have seen it, still a little early for it to be that cold here. Notice the #3 on the right upper side of the falls...normally that is a 'Z' shape. It is the frozen spray off the falls

Great eye Vicki to see the #3 on the rock face. This is a beautiful shot of the falls. I've only been to the falls in the summer time, does Multnomah Falls completely freeze over in the winter time? Or does it stay open all year? Here in MN, our Gooseberry Falls up on the North Shore has 3 sets of falls, it will ice up, but it never completely freezes, always running.

@zenna it stays running most of the time...I don't think it has ever fully frozen up, but it really gets fully iced. But it is really hard to drive up to it so not many people get to see it iced. Myself, I have only seen it in full ice once.

So beautiful. These falls are beyond incredible. The Columbia River Gorge area is one of our favorite areas to drive through, stop and sightsee, and continue onto the next stop and sightsee (and photograph) site.......
