Believe. That is a word that I have had to keep in mind a lot this past year. Believe, as a buyer came along and gave us top dollar for our house…when we had not even listed it!
Believe, as I quickly searched for a temporary home we would be content to live in for a while. Believe, as I found one beyond my hopes. Believe, that a perfect piece of land is out there to build a simple new home on in a couple of years. Believe, as we packed and moved from the place we have called ‘home’ for the last 25 years. Believe, as John waited on me hand and FOOT for two months last fall when I broke my ankle. Believe, as we watch our awesome kids raising our grandkids up so perfectly and healthy in a crazy world. Believe, as we wait for an answer about getting our little Hannah. Believe, as we see a few family members facing health issues and aging. Believe.
John 11:25 ‘Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in me shall live, even if he dies.’
This is wonderful and so appropriate for this season! I truly do "believe" that things happen the way they are supposed to, even though we may not always like them. There IS a reason. Such lovely thought Vicki! And so well presented. Best wishes on this new chapter in your book of life!!
I noticed that you have words on some of your walls. I love it and have a few also. This is a beautiful shot. I believe that things happen for a reason though not sure why sometimes. You had quite a year. So glad so much went so well with the exception of your ankle. Lucky you to have a hubby like mine. There through the good and bad. Keep believing and taking photos like this one. A beautiful shot, Vicki.
Lovely shot and touching and inspiring commentary. I just returned from a week's visit to your gorgeous state where I have family living in the central coast area.
I couldn't agree with you more! We feel the same way about our children and grands. And although we haven't moved or had broken bones to contend with, Jeff and I are amazed at how we've been blessed here. We have had to believe through different circumstances and the outcome has not always been what we expected but we've always seen our faith rewarded. Beautiful words Vicki!
I love your commentary. So very true. You gotta' believe......Thanks for the reminder when we so often get discouraged or depressed about something out of our control. Beautiful
This is an awesome testimony Vicki! It is heartwarming to read and hear of how the Lord is at work in other people's lives! Especially when going through a dry time in their own life. I just realized that for some reason I wasn't following you any more. You were one of the first I started following on the Project. After reading this and particularly all of your supportive comments through my, "The Balance" photo I am blessed to be a follower of yours.
