The first day in Rome we walked and saw all the sights we could near the Coliseum. I posted a couple of shots of that day in September. Here is one from our second day. We took the Metro to the Spanish Steps, then walked up to a park with a perfect viewpoint of the city. Then took the Metro to Vatican City and walked back to our hotel from there.
Wonderful capture from the Piazza del Popolo and viewing the Vatican dome. Rome is such a gorgeous city. Glad you have continued sharing your great images.
Such a beautiful vantage point! When I was there with my sis and son (back in the last century) we were very much looking forward to seeing the Sistine Chappel...and it was close for repairs! AAAAgggh! So disappointed. I loved Rome but found to not be as pedestrian friendly.
Wow, you're bringing back so many wonderful memories. Did you vist the Vatican Museum and the Capella Sistina - I could stay in there for weeks. Magnificent capture of this stunning city.
It sounds like it was a wonderful trip. I have studied so many artistic and Christian history from this city. It must be awesome to see it close up. Nice shot!
