On a walk

Took the Nikon Camera on my morning walk. Although a little awkward to use at the moment I managed to capture this Goldfinch. Only 2 minutes from home on the shoreline.
The goldfinch brought back memories of the first year we were married (over 50 years ago). We lived at Scampton (David was in the RAF) and we bought a bird book to identify the birds that visited our garden. One of the first birds we saw was a goldfinch and when we looked it up in the book it said they lived in weedy waste places. That just about summed up our first garden, ha ha

@30pics4jackiesdiamond @carole_sandford ha ha easy to get confused with so many RAF bases in Lincolnshire.
A friend of ours at Scampton joined the RAF to see the world and after 8 postings in 12 years, all in Lincolnshire, decided to leave. He and his family moved to Australia and we still keep in touch with them now.
