Watercolour tutorial

I have dabbled with watercolours for craft work and Christmas cards but never tried to paint a picture. So with the encouragement of the
artsy-fartsy-gang this is my first attempt.
See @30pics4jackiesdiamond for the link and her version. Looking forward to seeing others and their interpretation.
This was a Matthew Palmer Tutorial.
Brace yourselves there maybe more to follow.
Oh well done, this is lovely! I must give it a try. Probably tomorrow after I emerge from the ironing pile I am currently fighting my way out from under!

Your reflection and ripples are wonderfully done! I love seeing how different we do these.

Wow! Very nice!
Even if the mountains aren't very detailed, you surely compensated with the trees. Those trees turned so well. There is so much movement in them. And so much detail, the trunks and the foliage. I love them.
I like your version very much. Well done.

Is that a Bob Ross Picture (the joy of painting)? He always does such nice pictures - just like this one.

@dutchothotmailcom @jacqbb @kvphoto @carole_sandford @monikozi @30pics4jackiesdiamond @marlboromaam @ninaganci @bybri @ludwigsdiana @pea @casablanca thank you for all of your positive comments. This tutorial unleashed a beast and can’t put the paintbrush down. At 64 the inner child has been released.

@santina thank you Santana.

Your trees are fab and you mastered the "pallette knife" technique. It's great to see how different the paintings are.
January 29th, 2021
@serendypyty it’s amazing what effect a few scratchy line make.
January 29th, 2021
Well done. It is so interesting to see yours and the other 'artsy fartsy gang' interpretations of the original.

Everyone is so different. I think it's great that you four are working on a group project and sharing the results with the rest of us. I always wanted to paint but have no talent for it.
January 29th, 2021
Well done

Heheee... i was reading the other day that Picasso once said that all children are born artists. The problem is to remain one as we grow. Have fun!
January 30th, 2021
@randystreat Kathy that’s what I said. Once I stopped trying and stated enjoying I got better results.
