I have a new appreciation for macro photography, after a couple of Monarch butterflies captured my attention at the beginning of my walk. After fruitless attempts of snapping them, I contented myself with close ups of inanimate objects; a raspberry, sea sponge and orange fungi, before coming across this obliging unidentified butterfly.
Well done, you did better than me. I am hopeless at photographing butterflies.

This is lovely. I don't know what kind it is, but he's got some really cool markings on his wings!
